  • Managing Plumbing requirements for 7.4M square feet of the TD Centre.

  • Facilitate repair and maintenance for various teams.

  • On-Site inspections: carrying out spot-check for water cross connections existing in the buildings/facilities but not identified on their Survey Reports as well as for the annual testing of their back-flow preventer.

  • Organizes workload, schedules inspections and documents inspection results, including the collection and attachment of photographs, documents and reports in the Division's computerized records management and tracking system.

  • Working knowledge of (Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) software solutions product produced by IBM.It is a solution which enterprises use to track operation, maintenance and disposal of assets.

  • Good written communication skills with the ability to prepare accurate written reports, using an electronic device.

  • Working knowledge of a Municipal water system and water service components; Water supply, heating, cooling and fire systems inside buildings; Inspection, testing, repair.

  • Prepares and inputs electronically reports for each inspection made, along with monitoring progress of work

  • Reviews plans and specifications from other disciplines, as required, to ensure overall compliance with the Ontario Building Code as it relates to HVAC, plumbing and sewage systems.

  • Makes recommendations to improve Divisional policies, procedures and practices.

  • Represents the Division at various committees and meetings.

  • Supervisor Dispatcher regarding calls and maintenance.

  • As a General Maintenance Mechanic, I did various repairs (general maintenance work) in buildings and homes.

  • Conduct site-visits to provide assistance to customers (i.e. Qualified Persons or property owners) in solving their back-flow prevention technical challenges in timely and responsive manner as needed.

  • Co-ordinate with the City’s Building Department to ensure that new installation of back-flow preventer have a Building Permit and those new installations have been inspected by the City’s plumbing inspectors. 

  • Establish and maintain good relations with the public, professionals and City staff

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

 

SERVICE TECHNICAN:

Midsteel Mechanical (1991 – 1998)

  • Served as a Service Technician – all of Metro Housing Area.

  • Recorded site-inspection/site-visit report/notes in the City’s database in support of Court appearances for by-law infractions prosecution.

  • A valid Ontario Driver's License with good driving record.
